3D TV To Use With PS3 For Gaming/3D Blu-Rays

Hey guys I've been blown away by the E3 conference from Sony (well done guys) and one of the things that caught my interest was the new and upcoming 24" "Playstation TV".

Since watching the conference though I have become quite interested in 3D gaming and have been looking relentlessly all morning at 3D TV's to maybe go get one soon, after all it is my birthday so I think i'm entitled to a treat :smileyvery-happy: .

However after many searches and reviews I am completely lost in which TV would make a good purchase, so I am looking for ideas or recommendations for a 3D TV from you guys who have used or have one :smileyhappy: . My budget is around £1000 maybe a little more, preferably less lol. Ideally a Sony one would be good since I have a PS3 and a Sony Blu-Ray but really won't mind another brand if it outperforms and wont make a difference in terms of 3D quality (maybe the PS3 wont work so well with a Panasonic screen?)

Cheers for your help in advance all!

Off the top of my head (at work, can't search for much) if you can stretch it get the Panasonic VT20 plasma or the updated version (which is presumably costly if available)

I personally have a Bravia KDL-46HX803 LCD, it's a top set but it does sufer from some clouding issues and I recently had to have the panel replaced (after 4 months of use). The 3D effect is excellent with minimal Xtalk issues if you let the panel warm up before use.

So yeah, I have a Sony but if I could have afforded it at the time I would have gone with a panny plasma, no question.

And change left over for a penny sweet!

Yeah that looks alright. Obviously OP would have to shell out for specs so it's better to look for bundles.

I managed to grab mine with a free 3D BR player, 2 x specs and 5 3D BR's for £1300 iirc. Bundles man, bundles!!!

I got a good email from Richer Sounds the other day which was a 46" 3D TV with 5 pairs of glasses for about £1000 I think it was

I think it was for their VIP customers but it's not like that casts anything to join up

Thanks for all the quick replies guys! This TV is going on the wall so looking at around 37"-42" at the mo since space is a little issue however I found this Panny for £1099.00 which could be worth a look?

Assuming the TV is decent that's a great deal. Having one set of specs for gaming is ok but when you're watching a film you need a few pairs for girlfriends/hangers on/nerds at the party.

I found the TV but the glasses are passive, does that make it bobbins?
