About the PS3 60Gb

I been looking through ebay of UK, Australia, USA, ect and I noticed that most PS3 60GB that are being sold are faulty, Yellow light of death, spair ect.  It seems that finding a working PS3 60GB is extremely hard.

I know there working PS3 60GB in ebay but it not a lot, it seem most people have lost interest in the PS3 60GB since there not a lot of bids.

Re: About the PS3 60Gb

it seems that people with a working 60GB are not willing to part with them as afterall the 60GB is the superior version in terms of features. the reason the faulty ones are being sold is that Sony are too expensive for repairs so people are cutting their losses and buying a new slim and selling the faulty 60GB to the highest bidder.

another thing that doesnt help is the fact that Game, Gamestation ect are all offering poor trade in prices for the 60GB (£150) which is less than a 40Gb or 80GB phat PS3. if the pre owned market has little faith in the 60GB then owner have to grin and bare it and hope thier £419 investment hold out.

Re: About the PS3 60Gb

Are Game giving £150 for a 60GB which has been repaired & with a 3 month warranty from TCR?

Re: About the PS3 60Gb

I find it hard to believe its gone so down the price, I remember when the PS3 60GB got discontinued on ebay the bid used to go up to over £900 even into the £1000.

as long as it works when they test it yo will get £150 trade in or £110 cash.

to be honest its a rip off considering the extra features and the price the 60GB cost new also 2 months ago they were offering £180 trade in or £150 cash so it shows how much the price of 60GB has dropped in 2 mnonths.

Re: About the PS3 60Gb

If you think thats a rips of then, a few days ago I was thinking of trading my PS3 40GB to game.es in spain and they said they only give 60 euros for selling or 110 euros max price.  I decided to keep my PS3 40GB.  I was thinking of trading my PS3 40GB for the PS3 slim.

yes it seems as though game retailers have got wind of the failure rate on the phat PS3`s and as such are only willing to take a chance on them if the person trading them in takes a really big loss.

Re: About the PS3 60Gb

I will never sell mine.. unless the ps4 is backwards compaitable

Had it since new,, actually I was one of the first to buy.

Used it for 3 hours a day.  Rock solid

If it was ever to fail,,  would get it repaired or buy another...

xbox vs ps3 argueement,, my ps3 is still better as the new slim is today..
