The advertisments are borderline for 9yr olds. Not entirely happy about the content.. I know the anti rape ads on vidzone in the UK are aimed at teens but wonder if somehow they can be toned down if a younger child is watching. I know these things need explaining but .. it's a bit too early for 9yr olds in that particular ad format.

I'm sounding like a dad more and more each day XD

Your best bet is to tweet them on @vidzone. They are normally pretty quick to respond to any issues with innappropriate ads. Just after they originally launced they started running ads for the upcoming resident evil movie. I noticed this while I was using the service for my 9 year olds birthday party. They sorted it very quickly.

The whole service looks like it's aimed at adults... mainly; so not much music choice for a kid. Maybe if they put an age restriction onto the service for 15 or over then that'll be alright, cos of some explicit material in some of the songs. As for the adverts; some are inappropriate for children too; like the teen rape ad and the Resident evil trailer and some others.

vidzone is age restricted.  

I hate to say it but you logged in with and approved age account then showed the dult content to those who where underage.

its not just the adverts that are for older audiences its the content.

i would love it if they turn the ad volume down....to often i have playlist cranked up loud ..only to hear a massive boom come in from movie add , or someone blurting down my ear about DR Pepper at 100DB

Thats an old advertising trick thats been around for years its still the same on Some TV channels. 

The option to Normalise the audio reduced the effect a bit in earlier versions
