You can't sign a contract legally under the age of 18 end of,also anyone under 18 is just stupid and that is a fact including those of us who have been there even do we thought we knew everything we knew nothing. Not that there is anything wrong with being stupid I'm forty and I've learnt to live with it. In reality anyone below the age of thirty is far from intelligent ,they think they are but their not even half boiled at that age and yes I mean each and everyone of you, whilst not all are totally stupid the majority are . Now play with your Barbie and stop giving out that your not old enough to make the rules the way you want them.
The OP is very articulate and comes across as more mature than some. Even if you disagree with his message, he raises some interesting points.
Ultimately though:
The law is such a a$$ that I'm not sure some analogies drawn here are so sound. Plenty of 16 and 17 year olds in the UK can get married without parental consent (oh hello Gretna Green!) and if you're not a resident of Scotland, your marriage is still perfectly valid in England and Wales if you travel there to get hitched.
Fact is, the law is unjust to 16 and 17 year olds in many respects. It has always bugged the hell out of me that people in this age group can get married or die for their country, but cannot vote... or beta test computer games apparently.
It seems more wise to complain to government than Sony though, really.

That's not a "problem". That's "stereotyping".
16 year olds can vote in various states around the world, some with conditions (like being employed), some with none. Nineteen states in the US allow 17 year olds to vote in primary elections. I have yet to see any evidence that votes among this demographic are being traded for cheeseburgers. Or anything else for that matter.
Besides, electoral fraud is mainly the speciality of people who are significantly above 18 years of age. Think more along the lines of 30 upwards.

Where is the evidence that a "significant proportion" of this age-group would be more likely to trade votes for cheeseburgers? Or trade votes for anything at all, for that matter?
