Does anyone know if when you pre-order a game with Amazon UK you receive the game on release day?

e.g. If the game is out on 29th October, will I receive the game on 29th Oct, or after?

When I was preordering it said that if you choose first class delivery it will be delievered on day of release.

However I started using shopto.net - I ordered one item already out (delivered next day) and preordered one item (delivered day before its release).

So if I choose First Class delivery I'll have to pay for it? Think i'll use ShopTo, I've used them before and had no complaints.

Yeah you have to pay for first class delivery on Amazon.  It ended up being about £6 more expensive on Amazon compared to Shopto.net with 1st class delivery taken into account.

it all depends, the few times i've used amazon for pre-orders i've always gotten the super save free deliverys and if its shipped from amazons own warehouse it comes 1-3 days after release, if from amazons merchant (indigostarfish) it comes on release day.

I've pre-ordered from Amazon plenty of times with super saver delivery and I always got them on the day of release

My last two games that I pre ordered from Amazon (F12010 and MOH)  arrived first thing on the Thursday morning - a day early.  Can only speak as I find but I rate them.

They must really like you! What's your secret?

I use Amazon all the time for pre-orders but have never got a game early. They always arrive on release day (using 1st class post) so I'm more than happy with their service

I checked it, it'll cost me an extra £1.99 for 1st class delivery. I'd rather have the first class included.
