Mine died on the 25/06/2011, Yellow light of Death. Getting picked up for repair or replacment tomorrow.

My Launch day 60Gb is still running fine, had a few scares in the past (mini-YLoD) but it sorted itself out. Gave it a 'pamper day' 2 weeks ago, I 100% stripped & cleaned it, even replaced the thermal paste with some nice new Arctic Silver 5. Yummy

Back from the dead after a YLOD and a reflow, launch 60gb is working fine for my Uncle (I gave it to him and got myself a 320 slim).

He's been GT5ing it on the Zombie 60gb for ages and the thing is working like a dream since last year!

I have 2 60gb models both are working fine.

My launch 60GB is working fine. If you class "working" as sitting dormant on top of my subwoofer stopping it from floating off if it ever decided to lose its own mass.

It serves as a silent monolithic reminder to never buy a launch console ever again.

quite easily,

tbh they weren`t that bothered about it,the guy that checked it told me that they send the consoles off to get stripped & overhauled by their technicians,so any problems they encounter would be sorted with them,he was more interested to see if the console would connect to the internet ,probably to check it wasnt banned or something,he spent a good 25 minutes or so checking it over,then he gave me my store credit,i`m just glad i traded it in before it had the chance to die on me tbh

i gave mine to my son when the slim came out and its still going strong and believe me he dosent look after it.

My 60gb still working, but i will admit I didnt buy one as soon as they came out.

I picked mine up with the 40gb were available so just before they stopped making them.
