Bit of a drought in summer until the last three to four months of the year.

I'm sure I'll buy a racing game (maybe DiRT 3) and then instantly regret it. Shift 2 looks like utter dross, what else is there? ... LA Noire will probably be bought, played for 2 hours and then shelved like most my games.

I wouldn't reccomend buying a racing game. Most of the time I get dissapointed with the results.

Nothing else appeals to me. Games can be categorised nowadays into killing people (95%) or other.

I was killing people long before these consoles came out, on a PC with better controls. The novelty has worn off in my world and did so a long time ago, even though it still seems to be considered cutting-edge in the console domain.

Most of what console gaming seems to be about now is having a sub-par PC experience of a shooter, and trying to operate the mouse and keyboard with two broomsticks from about 5ft of distance.
