Arkham city is great don't get me wrong, it's amazing and I love it, I've just noticed the story hasn't grabbed me as much as Asylum did.
Am I alone on this thought?

I think that they are both good in there own way.

For me, the story grabbed me both times. In different ways.

If you break it down, maybe the first story was better? each to their own.
Id have to play through both games consecutively to remember and compare lol.

But then again, in anything - the original - if completely awesome and near perfect - is always hard to beat.

at the end of the day, the voice acting and script in both where beyond excellent.
the writers and actors could have made this into a movie and been a blockbuster hit.

Both are excellent. story aside i prefere arkham city only because of the longer glide times. both storys are equally good.

NOT A CHANCE!!!

EVERYTHING HAS IMPROVED INCLUDING THE STORY. THE STAKES HAVE GONE UP FOR BMAN AND THE WORLD OF GOTHAM IS COVERED SO BRILLIANTLY IN AC.

ALSO THE COMBAT SYSTEM HAS IMPROVED SO MUCH AND MUCH LESS EMOTIONAL STRESS IS INVOLVED IN THE CHALLENGE MAPS.

IT'S LIKE SAYING THAT STAR WARS 4 IS BETTER THAN EMPIRE - SURE 4 WAS THE PIONEER AND BLAZED THE WAY BUT EMPIRE IMPROVED ON A GREAT FORMULA AND FLESHED OUT THE CHARACTERS SO WELL THAT MADE 4 LOOK LIKE CHILDS PLAY.

The story in AA was better, just seemed to flow more. AC is a better gaming experience, but with some of the side missions tying into the main story on AC, it can get a little confusing. They almost seemed to fit in too much, and towards the end it gets very frantic, and hard to keep up with.
