Re: Beer in controller..

Two of my controllers have had coffee poured on them and are now working fine. OK the buttons on one of them are a little sticky but the more I use it the better it gets.

All I did was leave it some where warm. Airing cupboard I think it was, for a couple of days. After that one switched on with no problem and the other I took apart and found that a wire had come loose, simply pushed it back in and on it came.

So there is hope :smileyhappy:

Re: Beer in controller..

I had a similar situation and put the controller on a radiator to dry it out as much as possible. The circle button was still very sticky afterwards, but continous play eventually got it back to normal.

Just make sure your mate gets the sticky controller when he comes round again, so that you can kick his butt in whatever you're playing! :smileywink:

Sony are stabbing their loyal family customers in the back - We have 2 PS3s and 3 PSPs all on the same IP address and all registered with Sony. Why can't we use them at the same time anymore?

Re: Beer in controller..

I disassembled my DS3, cleaned the plastic and buttons with hot soapy water, then put it back together.

Have a look for some videos on youtube. :smileyhappy:

HA! That's cool, but could see myself panicking during a boss fight/shootout and accidentally pouring beer down myself having hit the wrong stick!

[ Edited ]

I spilt a drink on one of mine other day, taking apart the the pad is very easy, putting it back together again was abit tricky mainly the L2 & R2.

But got there in the end and The pad feels like new again LOL I really went to work on it cleaned every part.
