How great would it be to be able to download Demo 1 (the very first playstation demo disc for playstation 1) off the PSN store.
It'd bring back so many memories of playing games like porsche challenge, Rapid racer, overboard, Rage racer and the classic lifeforce tenka!

I don't understand downloading a tech demo from 1995 for a 2 generation old console now, its hardly going to look impressive on a HDTV powered by a PS3

Surely it would be much better to want one for the PS3 to show of its power (like we don't already know anyway)?

As much as I have fond memories of Demo1, it looks really bad on an HDTV, believe me, I've tried it.

I wonder how many of us remember Demo 1, I must still have that disc knocking about somewhere, I came across Soul Blade not long ago and the first TOCA. Didnt' even bother putting them in the PS3.

Only reason it would have been worth having a re-issue of the Demo 1 would be to put it next to a revised PS3 demo 1 when the PS3 was originally released.

I remember Demo 1,  Battle Arena Toshinden blew me away at the time

Aint Tombi on that one, or was it Demo 2/3? I defo remember Ridge Racer, you know that feeling you get when you drive really fast down a hill, thats what i got from it.. ahh simpler times!

I think I remember Demo 1 as the manta ray comment jogged my mem box.

Which disc had Crash Bandicoot on it? I remember seeing that and going

This thread reminded me of the PS1 demo disc I got - judging by a quick Google search it was the Special Demo Disc #1 with Crash Bash, Grind Session, Spider-Man, Terracon, and Vib Ribbon playable. Never bought Grind Session but the demo was fun!

Also a Rescue Shot trailer with funky music that I can't find now. This jogged memories, however:
