That console was released 13 years before i was even born lol
You missed out then lol. Probably the greatest console ever released. Defender and Missile Command on that were brilliant. I had hours of fun playing them and mine is all boxed up at the bottom of a wardrobe, as far as I know it still works but I doubt it would be compatible with new TV's.

Also I found in the local newpaper if you have a section that's a selling items place. They should have a gaming section that people fill up with alot of stuff like PS2/ Xbox with games ( E.G Old ps2 with 5 games 1 controller and charge cable £80 ono. Call this number **********)
I'm currently looking to pick up a old PS2 and hopefully get my hands on TimeSplitters 1,2 and Future Perfect. I've budget myself around £120 for the lot.
Good luck in the hunt mate.
PS2 £20-£30 Timesplitters £2 Timesplitters 2 £2 Future Perfect 49p At first I pm'd you to quickly grab a bargain, but well and truely you can this lot for £30 or £40 Max, save yourself ₤80-₤90.

As a buyer of retro consoles (And those aren't retro, just saying) I'd advise car boot sales, gumtree and eBay.
I've bought many consoles from eBay, most in good nick. Many games too and I've never had one which didn't work so that's enough for me.
Car boot sales I've had great finds, bought a SEGA Master System with games for £2, an Atari Lynx for 50p, SEGA 32x extension for a MegaDrive for £4 etc.
Gumtree is good because you get to go round to where it is and if it's in bad condition then you just turn it down.
But for a GameCube or PS2 I wouldn't be worried about buying one of eBay if I'm honest.
You can still buy brand new ones:

Not that I'd spend that money on those consoles now, especially since I've got my lovely spice orange GameCube and Midnight Blue PS2 both imported from Japan.
EDIT: Also, I'm 20 and I play consoles that were released waaaaaaay before I was born.
I don't obsess over it, not someone who sits inside all day and looks up old games to play I just pick them up when I'm out and about sometimes and give them a go.
