I have a 250GB PS3 Slim and I downloaded the PS2 system data from the Playstation store and I was just wondering if I was going to encounter any problems if I put in a PS2 disc

The only problem you're going to encounter is that the PS2 disc won't work chief, BC was removed from the PS3 ages ago.
There are remastered PS2 games available.

also whats the ps2 system data u downloaded , never heard of it
Thier was something on the US store for those who Had a PS2 HDD for games like Resident Evil Outbreaks File 1 and 2.
That download aloud the US BWC PS3 to use part of the HDD as a PS2 HDD for those games that needed it.
The HDD support was removed from those games for Europe as we did not get the HDD.

It is/was on the US store I think and featured extra PS2 support or some such for the BC machines.
