DOA 5 looking good to be one of the best many fighting games this year accept TEKKEN TAG 2 that will dominate!! 

DOA 5 is a transfer to VF 6 so DEAD OR ALIVE 5 = Virtua Fighter 6 in 1 game set so all DOA 5 characters can fight VF6 characters. 

DOA 5 characters each will unlock a VF 6 character to play total of 26 DOA 5 characters 24 VF 6 characters total all 50 playable characters on DOA 5

I dont know where you get this information from, but it is total rubbish, Akira Yuki is a guest character in DOA5, there wont be a full Virtua fighter roster to unlock.

@waltyftm does this answer your question. The big news in crossover fighting earlier this week was that Virtua Fighter 5's Akira would be appearing as a playable character in Dead or Alive 5. He may not be alone.
