I'd like to have a option to delete trophys. Im a bit of OCD kinda guy when it comes to trophys.
Im not a trophy ***** by any means.I go with the rule of,as i complete a game, whatever trophys i pick up or any really easy ones i can get from a 10 min task i'll be happy with.I certianly don't stay up for hours trying to get 1 trophy or platnum any games.
Still the fact i have a trophy set on my list from a game that i either haven't played or turned out i didn't like kinda bugs me.
A prime example would be Motorstorm 2 which my little nephew brought to my house and booted up. Usually i let him go on a seperate profile to put trophys and PSN stats on it,without effecting my PSN ID. However he came over 1 morning real early like 8am and i was on call all night before and still asleep in bed having just got in from a call out 2 hours beforehand.
So my girlfriend let him in he booted up the PS3 loaded the game, unbeknown to me on my profile ( i was K.O'd asleep ). I wake up and find out. I didn't go nuts it's just a trophy list after all,but it does kinda bug me it's there with 3% trophys on it.
So I'd like to delete that but i can't.

Right I'm off to get that trophy for the platinum as when I get it , it means I'm great.
You don't like them ignore them I do apart from that annoying ping sound when one is unlocked.
Play for fun Enjoy your gaming and if playing the same crap game for hours on end just to get a trophy which means nothing whatsoever makes you happy go for it.
Why people feel the need for trophy's or the need to delete trophy's drives me insane go play that is all.
Just one quick question , Who here purchased their PS3 for trophy's ?
I purchased mine for gaming and to have fun .

Says the person with 7 platinums, I'm sure getting all the blast shards in inFamous 2 was an absolute joy and you just by chance got them all.
When a person gets the first trophy on the 11th and platinums the game on the 19th, in my opinion that person is a hoarder.
But this is only my opinion, nicely spoken words though. ![]()

I know where you are coming from but finding the shards on infamous 2 was part of the game the more shards you have the stronger you are that's why I collected them all as I played through on hard and just in case it was extremely hard I felt I needed all the help I could find , but hard was easy, still I loved the game to bits and all the shards were next to missions so there was no looking for them.

I would like to have this feature, I downloaded some games when I first bought my PS3 that I didn't like and will never play again, plus I've borrowed a couple of games and rented them, none of which I'll actually choose to pay for.
I don't understand people who don't like this idea, if trophies don't bother you, no problem, they still won't, but surely more options are better than less for those that would like a bit more control over what is displayed on their profile? Why be restrictive? I won't ever use cross-game chat, but I wouldn't not want them to put the option in for those that do, just because I won't.
If someone comes around to my house and sees my DVD collection or music, they know what I like enough to own, if a friend looks at my gamer profile they can see every game I've even looked at.
Aside from all that, I use my trophy list to look at what games I've still got more to do in, it's a way of gaining longevity from games and exploring games I love even more. I have it sorted in order of when I last played, so I can see if a list is near the bottom I haven't played it for ages and that often gets me returning to a game I may have forgotten or given up on. I have to sift through and always look at games I won't touch again, it's like having to sort through all your rental dvd lists each time you want to watch one of your owned movies.
Not a big deal, more important stuff going on my life, but it would be nice.

I've only just started avidly collecting trophies for the last 3 weeks, and am enjoying it - but even so I can understand exactly what IrishViper is saying.
Trophies are like crack.
I've never been like this before...but now I'm buying games purely for the trophies. Infact, it's changed my aspect on gaming completely and I'm not sure it's for the better ?
Before I used to only play games I had a real interest in. But now I find myself flicking through trophy websites to see what games actually have Platinums, and the next thing I know I'm on Amazon.UK ordering the bloody thing up !
I feel as though I'm playing the game for the wrong reasons now. It's almost like I'm going through the motions just to get that trophy, rather than enjoying the game for what it is (like I have done all my life).
I'm going to have a break from gaming for a month and see if I can snap out of this trophy thing and get back to how it used to be.

Hardly. It means people play games to completion. I own about thirty games since launch (I got the free games during from the PSN downtime in adition to this and I've probably gotten a loan of a few since then) and I have 14 platinums (I'm only a trophy level 14 as well as this whereas most with an equivalent amount of platinums would be much higher due to playing more games). However, when playing the games I do not play them with the intention of getting trophies, I couldn't care less about them in most cases (the only exception to this was the Metal Gear Solid HD collection because I wanted to ensure I had completed them all 100%) and feel they're a waste of time. I do, however, like getting my moneys worth out of games (hence why over almost five years I average buying one game every two months) and as such will usually do everything I can before moving onto the next. And the very fact that as you say the game was platinumed in such a short space of time does not imply the person was going for the trophies it implies the game was very good and they played it for an extended period of time once they bought the game.
EDIT: Also, regardless of whether or not it is possible to delete the trophies, I think an easier option would be the ability to hide trophies so that they are not displayed. This way those who don't want 0% games shown can hide them and those who'd rather not bother with trophies don't have to either while those who enjoy them aren't forced to use the feature.
