Intresting topic.
I just turned 30 this year and i probably play games just as much as i did 10 years ago and even probably 15 years ago (i would say i game more now than i did 20 years ago, but thats due to only owning a master system 2 and only owning 2 games for it ever (1 of which was installed in the system!!), and my only other gaming consisted of occaisonally getting to use a friends NES/SNES!).
1 thing that has changed a bit as i have gotten older is my game preferances. I used to be big on playing sports games and racing games and that was it really, i mean i played metal gear solid games and GTA san andreas and the first tomb raider, but otherwise it was sports and racing. Now as a 30 year old i still play sports games, but definately no where near as much as i used to.... now its action/adventure/shooter games that get the most action (Deus ex, Modern warfare 3, mass effect 2 have all see a huge amount of time in my playstation, though all 3 are beaten by the grandaddy of them all.... Skyrim!!). Racing games have also taken a bit more of a backseat due to this (Forza 4 still gets a lot of game time, but otherwise thats it... F1 2011 was not fun to play so i traded it, same for need for speed shift 2, and gran tursimo 5).
I guess as we get older people change... some game less, some game more, some change the ype of games they enjoy!!

I play less than I used to but that's down to having a wife and child. Priorities.
However, I also think that we remember playing more when we were younger primarily due to the fact that the games 10, 15 or 20 years ago actually lasted longer so they demanded more time to complete. I distinctly spending 10s to 100s of hours on games in my teen years, now I'm lucky if they last 8 hours (for the majority).
I have noticed my genre of choice change. I used to go for fast action button mashers and FPS titles but now, whether it's because my reaction times are worse or not, I prefer the long rambling time killers where I can proceed at my own pace.
As for my youth, lol only 33 but still, I thought nothing of gaming for 24hours straight and then sleeping for the next day, one day on, one day off.

38 on New Year.
I tend to play more these days, as 120 hour working weeks are well behind me - so I've got a lot more leisure time available.
However, I am becoming extremely choosy on what I play.... which I'm finding a bit restrictive. I'm similar to Aaron earlier on in the thread, in that I'm not sure whether it's because I've seen it all before or what ? If there were more decent JRPGs available, then I'd probably be gaming a lot more, but in a way I'm glad there isn't.
There's too much else in this world I want to do !

Gaming has been my passion since I was a little lad playing Bruce Lee on my Speccy 48k. I have always played games as my prefered pastime, I have never been into TV outside of documentaries although I do like a good movie.
I would say I play more now than ever as I have more free time than ever. I get in from work around 6, sort out tea for the wife (gets in from work around 7) and kids (teenagers now) and once we have caught up on our day I will get on the PS3 around 8.30 until I go to bed, usually around 12. I would say I have spells where I get gamer fatigue and cannot be bothered but these pass and generally I get a good blast most evenings.
That, and Konami's Yie Ar Kung-Fu where my early memories of gaming on the Spectrum, good times ![]()

What is Zoidburg doing in that game?
Isn't it kind of obvious that he's doing the macarena?
