Its quite handy for sites like gamefaqs.
If your struggling with a game,or its glitching for example (LEGO Harry potter,i'm talking about you !).
Its a quick and easy way to find out - Instaed of waiting for you laptop/desktop to boot up.
Its also handy for sites you know are infested with windows based viruses - Perfectly safe to use on the ps3.
But you still have to save and quit the game, go to the browser, check what you're looking for then load your game back up
If that can be done quicker then booting a PC/laptop then something isn't quite right. In fact it should be about the same if not quicker for a modern day PC/laptop to boot up. Its only a minute if that, some games take that long to load going through all the publisher/developer logos, warning screens etc.
My laptop is on all the time except for at night when I go to bed. Granted not everyone has one, but most people do/should if you have an internet connection.
It was never designed to replace a PC, its only really for the PlayStaion website (advertising) and general searches of games. And I'm sure I've heard it was actually for developers for some reason.

Okay yt, we know you don't use it. No need to go off on one.
I use the browser if I can't be arsed to switch my tablet on, which is quite often. ![]()

Not really - I should have said after ive finished playing game.
When playing a game,a PC is obviously the better option.
I do find it quite handy now & again - But point taken.

I'm not going off on one, I'm just explaining that people expect way too much out of it, then they end up creating (as they have done for 5 years now) that its not doing something it was never really designed to do in the first place
Its like watching someone trying to hammer a nail into a wall with a screwdriver. NO! Go and use a hammer! ![]()
