Bit of a long shot but if you do could you please post your picture settings you use for playing ps3. The picture is that bad using ps3 it's stopping me from playing it, my xbox looks perfect on the tv but as soon as i switch to ps3 the graphics look horrible. Tried many settings on the tv all have failed.
just an example games like cod, bf, fifa all look mint on the tv using my xbox but the ps3 looks like crap.

Don't know about your settings but this should upgrade you to LH5000 functionality.

You're only ever going to get 720 though, I used to fix them.

In what way does it look bad, can you be more specific?

hey hey
Hold down the power button till you hear the double beep to reset the graphical settings. Then start from scratch to setup.
Are you connected via HDMI for both consoles ?
Do you have full or limited RGB ?
What are the display settings on the XMB
*edit*
your specs show a display res of 1366x768 but you have a "just scan" (1:1 ratio) but the specs show that as 1080p how is that possible ? Does the just scan downscale the input ? (i'm a bit confused there)

That's pretty high sharpness and colour andie. Not that I own a LG but as a general rule of thumb I tend to kill the sharpness and keep the colour settings muted to skin tones.

the settings i have posted are more ot less the standard game picture settings on my tv with just a little tweaking
if i have the sharpness set to 0 its not as clear looking as i like
when watching tv the colour is set to 35, but when playing games i prefer the colours to pop a bit more

Yeah I understand. It's my years of calibrating playback on shoots when I was a camera assistant, it's made me a bit pedantic about TV's.
I must admit, I think I dial up the colour settings a little for gaming too but not sharpness, the lack of AA in so many console games this gen doesn't need sharpness adding to it.
