What the hell is up with the Wii U? I know that it's good that it has 4 USB ports and supports external HDDs, but has Nintendo finally lost the plot?

Wii U: officially the most r3tarded name they could have given it.

You kind of have to distinctly make sure it sounds like two words, because really what the hell is a 'wiyu'?

Looking at Zelda, it's kinda hard to rate it... to it's credit, it might pass for one of the better-looking PS3 or X360 games, there were some great lighting effects. What you have to remember though too is that Zelda is one of Nintendo's flagship titles, and probably the flagship title when it comes to graphical quality. So let's just hope that at E3 we haven't seen the nicest-looking game on the system for another four years.

The Wii U does have some pretty cool tech, but Wii players will get the most out of it... there's a really complex system shown in the new Wii Sports where you can put the Wii U controller on the ground which shows the golf ball, swing the Wii mote like the club and aim it at your television which shows the environment.

A lot of people will lap this up, but imo, sometime's there's no substitute for imagination.

Yeah, I loved the Zelda video and for those who haven't seen it yet.

From what I've seen so far of the Wii U (retarded name!!!), I'm alittle "meh" about it... Which is a shame because I had high hopes that Ninty might go back to more hardcore gaming experience. This too me looks like a Wii 2, which is bad because the Wii is a gimick.

However I'll wait until closer to it's release date and see what it's like before I judge it.

I actually was not that impressed with the Zelda demo

it looked ok but meh.

The controller is terrible as well.

Why the hell can't Nintendo make controllers seriously

They actually seem to be getting worse as time goes on

I honestly wouldn't be suprised if next year we see the PS4 and new Xbox unveiled. As much as Sony said they weren't rushing to get the next iteration out, I think this year's show that the current hardware is starting to get maxed out. So 2012's show will be dedicated to consoles that are due for 2014 release. Companies aren't deaf, dumb and blind - Xbox knows that this year was the last year to parade Kinect shovelware. If that's the basis of next year's show there'll be long knives at dawn.

So yes, in order to maintain credibility they'll announce their new consoles. I wasn't initially a supporter of new hardware, but you look at E3 this year and there really aren't many games that are the quantifiable graphical leap over their predescessors. Skyrim and Battlefield 3 are two which have pushed the envelope, which is why I ranked them #1 and #2 in my top 10. Everything else just looks like more of the same to me, which is why I'd pencil in 2014 now as the year of the next generation.

Wii U, looks like a new controller for the Wii to me. The graphics where not that impressive. Sort of like a Wii DS hibrid.

Bring on PS4.

Can't wait for BF3, Uncharted 3 and Batman and Skyrim looks da bomb.
