EA Single Player Games & Online Passes?

[ Edited ]

A thought has crossed my mind. With the latest batch of EA server shutdowns (mostly low online numbers) including a SP only game (Sabateur) could any SP game be affected in the future?

My concern is Kingdoms of Amalur. This game signs in to the EA servers on every launch, now, if I purchase DLC addons for this game and EA decide to pull the server which authorises the content, am I right in thinking that this purchased content no longer works? (This also includes the 7 quests which become available after redeeming the online pass).

Anyone know what's likely to happen?

TLDR - EA online passes, do they remove DLC access in SP games upon server shutdown?

Turn the internet connection to off, on your PS3 and youll have your answer.

Free bonus content not paid for, given free from EA is held on EA account servers.

Voucher code DLC is on PSN store servers  and your PSN ID not EA servers.

When you put in that 12 digit code for DLC its still just a PSN DLC 12 digit code.

Just have to remember that when you by a game in 2-3 years you will only have the single player content and the PSN store content.
