I bought a movie from the Playstation store on Sunday night but everytime I try & download it I'm getting error message 'An error occurred during the download operation. (80023691)'.

I've rang the helpdesk but received very little help as they dont know what the error is.  I've restored the Default Settings on my PS3 & checked the connection settings on my O2 Wireless router.. Everything seems ok! 

I'm having no problems downloading any other content.  I would just forget it but I've paid for the movie!!

Code doesn't show up on the support site either - have you tried disabling media server connection on the PS3 under network settings?

Also if your connection is wireless have you tried wiring it up?

I have tried disabling the media server connection & tried a wired connection, but neither of these options have worked.  I also played about with port settings per some online forums, but this didnt work either.

Seems strange that it's only this download causing problems. What did Sony Tech Support suggest?

The only other reference to that error code on the hinternet claims you need to do a full format, although I couldn't guarantee it'd work, and if you were to do it make sure you've got a backup of any data you want to keep on the PS3!

Have you tried temporarily disabling the router's firewall?

This sounds a lot like last weeks 'SEN download fail bonanza' many of us were having, though that was said to have been resolved.

Did you fix this? I just got this error message when trying to download a movie.
