The old Eyetoy camera for PS2 works as a mic on COD and other games ...

But when i go to chat and go to voice chat it says Please insert a microphone compatible with the PS3 System

How do i get it to work ?!?

I use the auld eyetoy aswel! Lol.. It's unreal! For the chat thing, I'm unsure.. It works perfect for me without doing anything extra.. :/ unless is there some sort of settings or options in the chat room that enables it? I haven't used te chat in a long, long time!

Mine works ok as a mic maybe it's something under your settings or Accessory Settings you need to change?

Hopefully it isn't positioned near your speakers, that will just lead to you being muted by everyone.

and I really love the mic picking up the TV speakers that are 1 inch away Mulletino.....

I thought it was Superb when used with Eye of Judgement, I had some of the best conversations without a headset and it was pefectly clear.

Check your settings in accessories as said above you can set different devices for the input and output of sound have you ever used a bluetooth headset? you may need to reconfigure to the eyetoy if all this looks correct and the levels are up then maybe you have a dud mic in your eyetoy.

Voice chat doesn't work for me either, I have a Turtle beach and can't be asked to get an Eyetoy, is there anyway to change the voice chat settings so I can use it with my P21s .

It works when I'm on the menu but not while in game

I tried using my EyeToy as a mic in MW2 today, it worked but it was fairly crap, I don't think anyone could understand what I was saying at all.
