Forum RPG category

[ Edited ]

Just curious ...

Why doesn't the Aus/NZ forum have a RPG category.

(Apologies if I'm missing something as plain on the nose on my face.)

I can only assume it's because no-one plays Final Fantasy, Oblivion/Skyrim, Dragon age, White knight chronicals, ... etc. etc.

Surely that's not correct.

We have a category for a device that isn't even available yet (PS Vita), and yet no RPG.

Go figure.

Re: Forum RPG category

I agree 100%. RPGs seem to get lumped in with Action and Adventure on these boards.

Re: Forum RPG category

For how small the PSF community is I think that there are too many categories as it is.

Yeh, I know where your coming from.

I mean, imagine a whole new category, with 4 or 5 sub-sections attached to it.

The entire front board would become a complete mess, and no-one would have a chance in hell of finding the appropriate topic they are looking for.

But seriously, if we can handle a "family games" category for Dance star party, I have a sneaky suspicion that perhaps the Final Fantasy franchise may just nudge the Dance star franchise out of top position as far as copies sold, and therefore possibly, just possibly, also warrants it's own dedicated thread, regardless of the number of forumers.

Who knows, there maybe just a small chance that there are also more people playing Skyrim, or Dragon Age, or White Knight chronicals, than there are playing Dance star party, and therefore, just maybe, an RPG category could be a reasonable thing to introduce.

Too many categories??

Only if you count the ridiculous and unwarranted ones already on the list.

Let's get real.

Re: Forum RPG category

As much as there are a lot of categories I do think we have an ok interface for it all. We do have an RPG section, it's just not used properly.

Where's that then? I know there's one on the UK boards, but I've never seen anything on here....not to say there isn't one, just that I've never seen it :smileyhappy:

Edit: Oh my goodness, I've just found it. I never knew that was there!

Wow ....

Yep, thanks for that.

Even though it was a bit of seek and find from your post, I did finally track it down.

TBH, I don't have the time to check it all out now, but I will soon.

Having said that, I'm not sure that if this is the only way to find a dedicated section for some of SONY's biggest ever selling  PS3/PS2/PS1 games, that there can't be a better way.

Sorry, but it still seems plain to me that many game franchises that are included in RPG should be clear as day when looking for them on the front board.

I mean, if it's clear as crystal where to go for God of War, it should be just as easy to find Final Fantasy.

Anyway, I think I've expressed my opinion enough on this subject.

Re: Forum RPG category

Looks to me that when they changed the forums last year, they started creating a RPG category and then forgot to put it back in the main section.
