Damn right I would do the same. God knows how many jobs I have applied for over the last few months. Yet only a handful got back to me even less invited me to a interview.

I just applied for a part time street cleaner and how much you want to bet a couple hundred people have applied for it before me.

Re: GAME Ireland sit-in...

iv been looking for a few weeks since my redundancy and have really struggled to find work , been trying old places iv been before and asking friends but so far nothing

the woman at the job centre asked me what i was looking for and i said i would consider anything , anywhere

she shrugged her shoulders and grumbled " i dont have a category on the computer for anything anywhere" , i left about 3-4 mins after that

Being a cleaner is a mugs game, you are treated like poop, given net min wage, expected to work your knuckles to the bone and are looked upon as a lesser being, how do I know this because I used to be a cleaner then I woke up and decided to stop settling for anything that was "just a job".

Re: GAME Ireland sit-in...

I guess this is all done with then. His facebook account has changed so there is no mention of sit ins or anything. You cant leave comments anymore. I guess he woke up and realised that he was making himself unemployable in the future.

Whilst this may be the case a job is a job and anything is better than claiming JSA or whatever. Thats the trouble with this country nowadays

Asda and sainsburys have quite a few jobs going in London. Dunno if that helps anyone.
