Re: GAME on their arse...

Its a shame about game but at the end of the day thats life and people will buy games from elsewhere.  Game used to have a good online service until the changed the website and it become a complete joke and i stopped using them. The stores were always too expensive people are not going to pay £42.99 for a new release when you can buy cheaper elsewhere.

Re: GAME on their arse...

Not suprised TBH. Most games are sold at £40. With game wanting £42/43 they are always most expensive. Most of their 'SALE' items only take the price down to what everyone else is selling it for. Last time i bought something from them was about 2 years ago.

Was in Chester shopping today, Gamestation has a sign on the door that states that they have "now ceased trading". The shelves are still full of stock.... Where is the crazy sale ? I wanted to pick up some mega bargains !!

The stock will get transferred to open stores apparently

Re: GAME on their arse...

I think GAME for got about there PS Home web page. I went on Home today and went to there Moon space. You can still access there online store there but there is only 2 games to buy. Once of them is a pre order for Max Pain the other is for a RPG that came out last month. But no other games are on the website. Why delete all but 2 games. I can't see there website coming back online.

Re: GAME on their arse...

That will probably be gone in the next HOME update.  Would be surprised if its kept on for much longer.  Or at the very least Sony will sever the connection to the online store.

Not only that but if you buy anything from them now, games, accessories or consoles and it's faulty you won't be able to take it back for refund.

Sure you will, thats a statutory right written in law, either them or the manufacturer will replace it.

They just wont take back stuff you bought and dont want the next day.

Their other practices of keeping preorder money and the likes is probably because their accounts are about the be frozen and liquidated, sadly other people they owe money to will get their money before customers do although generally they try get everyones money back.

If there has been no block ont heir accounts, then its possibly illegal how they are acting, Im not sure, but either way if anyone buys them the reputation and brand wont be worth much and good will gestures will cost the buyers a lot. Thats if.

Anyway, they are ending how they were run, their eye on money and not customers, Im glad they are gone. I hope someone better takes them over.

Really? When TJ Hughes shut in my town the missus bought something from there and was told that there are no refunds because the store is owned by the adminstrator. The store can't go giving money back that isn't theirs to give.

i had £140 worth of trade-ins over the weekend and bought a PS3 slim 320gb. Hope Sony will cover at least the 3 months warranty.

You will be ok for 12 months because Sony will honour that period of warranty. My 320GB died at 7 months old, phoned Sony and they sent me a brand new one about a week later.
