 Does any body have a phone number for PLAYSTATION that I can ring and speak to a real person to try and get this problem sorted. I just need to know if it's a playstation problem or a problem with my Internet provider which is Telstra's  Bigpond. Thanks for any help

Hey there hitmanrob,

If you're in Aus or NZ - numbers are as follows:

Australia: 1300 365 911
New Zealand: 09 415 2447

These numbers are also available in the back of any game manual, and your console's manual.

To test the connection from your console, go to:

Settings -> Network Settings ->

                   Settings and Connection Status List

If the Connection Method is Wireless, ensure that the signal strength is consistent, and at least 75%.

Then go to:

                 Internet Connection Test

Make sure the first few succeed, and the last two will be your Download/Upload connection speed.

This will give you an idea of what the PlayStation is expecting in terms of speed.

If the upload speed is sufficient, then you'd need to check with the game's publisher.

If it's fairly low, then generally there's not too much you can do, but this would be determined by your Internet Provider anyway.

Calling them really won't do anything for you. You'd need to check the speed on the console and if you do find it low, disconnect all other devices then also run a wired connection. This should improve the speed slightly. If not, you're simply using a horrible IP (Telstra) and there's nothing you can do short of changing ISPs probably.

Game upload speed?
Are you referring to uploading saves to PS+ server?

If you are talking about transferring PSN games from the PSN shop, then it's download speed that's your issue.
