Re: Ghost recon beta on PSN

To be honest, I'm guessing the delay would be due to Australia's (MESSED UP) ratings and copyright laws.

Unfortunately it takes a little bit longer for us to get stuff approved here then it does in America or the UK.
That being said, a general rule of thumb with games, movies, etc. Don't expect it to be released on world launch - most of the time, we're not a high priority, and thats in dev's and publishers eyes as much as the appropriate government departments.
Also - another rule of thumb, don't trust any other region sites unless specifically stated it will be out in Australia :smileyhappy:

Re: Ghost recon beta on PSN

I have an EA account, and they emailed me a code for the Future soldier beta multiplayer.  I assumed it was because I had an EA account and was randomly selected?  (Im in New Zealand).  But it is linked to my Uplay and I have purchased things through Uplay before, so possibly its something to do with that, I noticed someone else mentioned Uplay.

I generally don't play beta Multiplayers so I gave the code to my son who loves any type of new and free gaming (especially military combat).  He has his PS3 connected to a computer monitor.  I watched him play, the visuals on the game were stunning.  There might be a few minor glitches they are still working through though, I noticed when my son played he came across a couple of headless characters, and killed a couple of motionless players.  Otherwise it looks amazing.

Whoops duh you are right,

don't know where I got EA from, I did know that Ubisoft and EA were separate but I guess I get so many emails from EA I got confused about where I got the code from lol

Re: Ghost recon beta on PSN

Yeah, from further digging around the 'net, it's clear now that only US based PS Plus subscribers get the GR MP beta. It looks like nowhere else outside the US got it, not Europe nor Asia.

Re: Ghost recon beta on PSN

well that suks,ps plus members had access to starhawk beta and others i can't remember atm,but yeah thats F****D.

So we are expected to buy a game based on not seeing a demo of single player or even a beta???.
