Last night I had a minor scare, my PS3 wouldn't read Uncharted 3 I tried Skyrim and my other games and they worked fine so I decided to check the disk of Uncharted 3, and to my horror I saw a small hairline crack on the plastic inner circle that spreads onto the disk, I phoned Sony and after they tried to fob me off I responded with "Uncharted 3 is a Playstation exclusive game, it is published by Sony themselves so therefore isn't it Sony's resposibilty and not where I brought it from?" the gentleman then told me that I could send Sony the disk for them to do tests on and gave me the address. So sadly unless I can find a friend that has a spare copy I will be without Uncharted 3 untill Sony finish their tests and I am hopeful that they may replace the disk but I don't know if they will, so I was wondering if anyone here knows if they would?

They may just say that you have cracked it.
Why don't you try returning it to the retailer to see if they will replace it? If it really was faulty when you bought it then it is their responsibility, not Sony's. Sony don't actually have a legal obligation to do anything.

This post features my own opinion.
You'll have better luck and a faster response if you send the game in to the retailer where purchased.
With Sony, they'll have to test it first before they can dedcide to send you a replacement + it could take upto 2 weeks for a replacement delivery.

Know how you feel I had the same thing with Red Dead Redemption and Sony basically blamed me, shame really, but yea the disc was uncracked going in and cracked coming out very odd failure.

Trying to understand your reasoning is actually hurting my brain. I'd love to see you phone up Activision and use the same logic if it was your MW3 disc that was cracked.
But congrats to you for getting a replacement and well done to Sony for even giving you the light of day for something like this. And they say Sony costumer service sucks ![]()
