As I said in the other thread, I just can't see why the graphics are getting stick.
I personally was blown away by the graphics, colourful, crisp and very detailed. There's no glitches anywhere to be found. Beginning to think I played the wrong game.
Gameplay is FPS, so it will feel like most other FPS's, no idea how they can change that.
I didn't want a demo in case it put me off the game, but I am glad to say after playing it I want it even more.

I'm going to be honest, i thought it was going to be a big let down.
I have only just played it and i thought it was awesome and i'm going to be buying this game when it is out.

I'm with you. I am genuinely baffled as to why this demo/game is getting such negativity. It may not be the most technically impressive but what I saw pleased the eye. It's like slagging off a classic painting because it's not painted realistically.

oh yeh i forgot that you play as the rebels aswell. I think the switching sides element could bring something fresh to the fps genre, has it been done before? im not sure.
The only shooter I know that allows the player to switch sides is 'The Getaway: Black Monday', which of course is classified as a sandbox and not an FPS, so I would say, probably not.

I played it for 10 minutes last night and wasn't impressed, it just seemed very generic. That being said, it may have had something to do with me wanting to get GTA on because I'm addicted. I'm going to give Haze another bash before I delete it, if I don't feel any differently then I'll cancel my pre-order as GTA will keep me going until MGS4 anyway
Keep you going?
Personally though I do agree with you. GTA IV has potential to reign until MGS4, maybe even past MGS4, but I think Haze is a must have. I'm not one that plays GTA until I achieve 100%, just the story mode completed is sufficient for me, so I think I could possibly, having already completed the story mode, be quite bored of GTA IV come 22nd May. Time to preorder once more.

I played it once through last night and was an ok game, nothing great from the demo. Your team mates are a little thick in the AI department and just appear to run all over the place. The Enemy AI is just as bad.
The game does feel a little easy too, which I hope is something that is just in the demo and not the final game, as it's not going to be very challenging if the enemy can be killed so quickly and easily.
Graphically, there is a lot of detail in the jungle but its a little too cardboard looking with a lot of it, unlike drakes where the jungle looked like a jungle. One thing I will say though, smooth frame rate and no screen tearing was a good thing. However, I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt, mainly because the Demo is Copyrighted 2007 and hopefully the game has been improved further, especially if looking at this demo, this is when the Devs decided they needed to improve the game further.
As a Pre-Order, I still have it on order, because there were some good moments with the game, and will just wait for the final game before making my decision, but having a game with a fast frame rate and no screen tearing is definitely a good thing, as it makes the game more playable.
