OK so I was wondering if there is anything we can do to get Sony to make HD remakes of some ps2 game there seems to be more games getting HD remakes these days, like could we make a petiton? because i really want to see some games remade like timesplitters trilogy, summoner and the jak trilogy. and if there were any other games that u would want to be re made what are they?

It is up to the developers of the games to do remakes. Sony doesn't really have much say in the matter, unless they are, or own, the developers.

I'd love to see HD remakes of the Jak trilogy, but I think Naughty Dog is plenty busy enough making new games for the PS3.

They generally get other less known developers to do the remakes, Naughty Dog themselves wouldn't do them. So I suppose its a possibility. Same with R&C

Depends... are we talking complete total remakes, like the 10 year Tomb Raider Anniversary, or MGS Twin Snakes?... or HD re-releases, like the GOW games which started the trend..

Most of the 'HD Collection' range is developed by the original developers, just looking at wikipedia...

Im against this remake a game from last generation fad...

And to be honest I am not impressed at all with the "upgrade"

They still all look pretty much last gen to me.

Yet for some reason they are flying off the shelves.

I will say (very quiety as those that did complain about this were just annoying)

Sony have found a profitable way to stop people complaining about lack of PS2

backwards compatibility with most PS3's

That said I'm still getting Metal Gear and ZOE...but to be honest Id rather a new

ZOE than a remade "HD" version.

If a game is remade I expect an actual remake not a half baked attempt

which imo is what we have seen thus far.

^ ... This.. + trophies give tro-ho's who wouldn't dream of playing PS2 games because they don't have trophies, a reason to play these old games.

I'd really much rather just play new games like Uncharted 3 to be honest, but I will most likely get the MGS disc... hopefully it has the improved "-stance" versions, but I won't be holding my breath on it.. Resident Evil 4 interests me a little as I never played it, as possibly does Silent Hill, because I've only ever finished the first.... but they are slim chance purchases to be honest... you know, for when I've got sick of how amateurish Uncharted 3, Assassins Revelations, Batman City , Gears 3 and Forza 4 are...

The new God of War disc coming up doesn't really interest me that much, because it features two games made for the PSP... it's like why play GTA:LCS when GTAA is much better?

Looks like the MGS HD remakes will be the "-stance" versions.

The "overseas" edition of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will include...

• Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (based on Subsistence version)

• Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - Subsistence
(which includes: Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2)
