it would be pretty stupid for me to discuss or mention which game has an exploit or security problem... as going by what happed on the PSP, lots of people bought certain titles because they were exploitable...

Im sure Sony have it all in hand as to what they intend to do about it... lets just hope they have sense to block any software which has a problem from access to PSN or the PS3... and hope people can take the software back to the place of purchase for a full refund...

The game no doubt has either been MW1 or MW2, but those hacks only affect you while your in the game and the console is on, but i have a very hard time believing anybody remotely installed hacked game data onto somebody else PS3 HDD over the PSN .......its just not possible.

Re: Hackers leave PS3 security in tatters

Remember people the PS3 would not be hacked if it wasn't for a massive mistake by Sony with their keys and the random number they use...whilst they can't really do anything about the millions of consoles out there you would expect new keys being stored in Sony's vaults and new hardware having these AND Sony fixing their big mistake...

Is this what counts as a 'hacked' PS3? Installing a game to the HDD? Not very impressive tbh

a vid would be better proof rather than a poor quality pic.  didn't that game have a demo?  they could've just blacked out the 'DEMO' from the title !!

Doesn't prove anything at all. Could be photoshopped for all I know. Why do I get the feeling that this is all another back-handed M$ strategy to try and tarnish the PS3's reputation as it gathers more and more momentum....:smileysurprised:

You know, I just feel sorry for the people that will lose their jobs over this. 3rd parties are not making the money they were and this could help put a few people into the unemployment queue.

And those hackers have the audacity to act as if what they are doing is some noble cause because 'they don't condone piracy'.

Sony (and respective devs) should allow you to install the games to harddrive, providing you have the original disc in.. god knows why they dont do it anyways, would stop half of this *****.
