Hard drive!

If i take the hard rive from my old ps3 and place it in my new one,will i have everything in my new ps3?I mean profile,trophies,saves etc!

No, the new PS3 will format it.

 

If you have a bigger HDD in the new PS3 you can use the data transfer to move it all across.

 

Your profile and trophy data is held server side and you can copy most game saves.
