When you buy Dead Space 2: LE used, it has an online pass I know that much, but do you need one to play Extraction?

Also, does the Severed expansion need the online pass as well?

think Extraction is always on the disc, so pretty sure you dont need any type of pass to get it or play it (but you do need the disc whenever playing it). though as you said, there is an online pass for the mulitplayer side of things for the Dead Space 2 game.

not sure about Severed, think thats all just single player DLC, so wouldnt imagine that you needed an online pass to play it, but cant be certain.

You don't need one to play Extraction but I'm not sure about Severed.

I'm playing it now. Extraction is on the disc and comes up on the XMB under additional content. You must have DS2 in your PS3 to play it. The online pass is purely for Dead Space 2 multiplayer if that is not your thing don't bother with it

Servered is just a short single player campaign.

Severed doesn't reqiure online pass as it's single player.

In case you don't know, Severed doesn't come with the limited edition. You will have to buy it off the store.

Ahhh..

The lovely invention that is the "online pass".

Trust a company like EA to come up with an idea like that - And the industry to follow suit.

How can a once great company ,in the C64 & AMIGA era - Turn out to be such pratts?

I was in gamestation yesterday.Saw the limited edition Medal Of Honour (with the free game). 2nd hand.

I suspected it had an online pass - Not only for multiplay but also the tier1 single player mode.

Got home,looked on the store - Cant find it anywhere.

Zilch,zip,zero ...Nothing.

I'd just like to thank these money grabbing companies - Thanks for making such a simple activty (2nd hand purchases) such a pain in the ass.

In the end i bought LA NOIR & KILLZONE 3 for around £22  ...And no online passes !!!!
