Re: Help me with the summer drought!

Out of your picks, i would say:

Batman Arkham City - Just got it myself, and thoroughly enjoying it, combat is improved over asylum with more enemy types (armoured for example), new attacks and an expansion on the counter system, where u can counter multiple enemies at once.

I would also suggest getting GTA Episodes of Liberty City, the download version (doesnt require GTA4 if u pick the cheaper 1) is about £13 off PSN, and as u have played GTA4, you wont be going "oh, played this bit", whilst still playing GTA :smileyhappy:

Have you played Assassins Creed Brotherhood? I thought it was very good, just as good as Assassins Creed 2, and can be picked up pretty cheap now too.

Re: Help me with the summer drought!

They're all good games so pick a few different genres out/ones that appeal to you or go by the cheapest and get playing!

The games drought lasts a lot longer then summer does so you've plenty of time to play most of the games mentioned.

I played the Rage demo; it looks great and the shooting is very satisfying. The only problem is the buggy racing seemed really bad - do you know how much of it there is in the game and is it compulsory to finish the game?

I think i'm definitely being swayed over Arkham City; I think it's been two years since I played the last one, so will probably seem quite fresh.

In fact it's been even longer since i've played GTAIV, so that might be quite fun given the break too. Your suggestion about Episodes of Liberty City is a great idea - it will give me enough of a refresher without pulling me in too deep and exhausting me for GTAV.

Yeah, i've played Brotherhood and Revelations; I really enjoyed both of them, I know some people gave them (especially revelations) some stick.

Tell me about it, there's not a lot of new releases i'm interested in until October. That said, Borderlands and Darksiders have sequels coming out before then, so i guess I could be swayed by one of them if the first games turn out to be good.

Re: Help me with the summer drought!

I wasn't to fussed with Darksiders, but you being a ps plus user it's a free game so you can't go wrong!

I have just finished Batman AA and it is fantastic so I can only assume AC will be to, because I've been told it's better than the original ( even better, the GOTY version of AC is coming out so you'll get all the DLC included.. win! ).
