I have PlayStation 3 problem when i quit a game the console is resetting and then is coming up with this console did not shut down correctly.

And something about a corrupt Hard Drive and in then runs a check and is fine.

Also when i quit a game the other day the console shut down ok and when i turned it back on the theme had gone and i had to reset the time.

You could try booting the console up in safe mode, then press option 3. If that doesn't resolve the problem, boot up into safe mode again and try option 4. If neither of those options work try 5. Option 5 would be a last resort as it will totally reformat your HDD back to its original state, meaning that you would have to redownload all of your games and DLC from your download list in Account Management. 

If you use option 5, it would be advisable to back up your content onto an external HDD if you have one.

If you don't have an external HDD to back up your content to, use a usb memorystick or some other device to back up your gamesaves and pics.
