Hi For the last couple of months my playstation has been unexpectedly shutting down after about 30 to 60 minutes of use regardless of whether I am playing a game or watching a DVD. It is a complete shutdown, not even the standby light is on. After switching everything off at the PowerPoint I can fire it back up again but it shuts down again soon after. Problem is not related to anyarticular game or movie. Any advice would be appreciated.

My guess would be that it is overheating. If you have it in a closed cabinet or in a similar confined area I'd suggest moving it. The PS3 also isn't meant to be operated at degrees somewhere around/over 30 so if you can keep your home to under that it should help.
