I got a motorola V3i (no laughing please) off eBay yesterday for a tenner and it came with a Jabra BT160 bluetooth headset so I thought I'd try it out on my PS3..

I deleted the headset off the Bluetooth devices list on the Motorola, and I charged the Jabra with the AC charger. Then I held down the button until it flashed blue, and it came up on the mobile 'do you want to bond with Jabra bla bla' so I said no and turned the phone off.

But when I 'register bluetooth device' on PS3 it says scanning for ages and ages and ages even when the headset is on top of the PS3 and regularly flashes blue the PS3 can't find it and just says scanning..

Make sure the headset is in scanning mode, i have a jabra and for the PS3 to pick it up i have to hold the button on the headset until the blue light stays on, then the PS3 can see it.

On my jabra the light mean this...

Red light....Low charge.

Green light ....Full charge.

Intermediate flashing blue light......headset on.

Constant blue light...headset inscanning mode.

Switch the headset off and hold down the power button untill theres a solid light , then scan.

Hey, there's nothing wring with a V3i at that price, I bought mine new when it came out for £200 which was 3 years ago.
If you're sure it's switched on and your PS3 isn't reading it, then unfortunately it might not be compatible with the PS3.

I'll try it now and see if it works.. I was just holding it down and it flashed blue a lot then blue would flash every 5 seconds or so. Hang on I'll hold it down until it stays blue.. if it works lol brb

Okay I tried holding it down and it didn't have a solid colour, just flashed loads then every few seconds. I did a video because I'm desperate

Oh guys.. I just read that you have to hold down the answer button and the volume keys too and it worked

I have the unofficial ps3 headset its called ps3 EX01 I think) and I deleted it and I am trying to find it again but it wont find it..........Any help????
