Daft question I know, I have downloaded ''The Walking Dead'' Episode 1 on my new 160gb PS3 from Playstation network. But after the download sequence I go into the ''GAME DATA UTILITY'' option on the home screen and two options come up for the game 1. ''Delete'' and 2. ''Information.'' there is no option to play. I just don't understand?! How do I actually play it?!

when the games downloaded it will show up under games click on it and it will install , when finished installing it will be ready to play

Yeah it's actually downloaded, completed and it tells me its saved in the ''GAME'' as you say. There is no icon I can click onto to play the game. So it's saved in ''GAME DATA UTILITY.'' It literally took 37 seconds to download a 2188KB file. That's fast as hell compared with the last ps3 I had. It still won't play it, somethings wrong and I don't know what?! Or is there something I'm missing with this being a new PS3?

You only downloaded the unlock key for the game.You need to download the actual episodes separately.Since you bought the game,the full episodes will be listed in your downloads.If not just get them from the store and make sure you read about what you are downloading.Plus the actual episode file sizes are probably well over 1GB.Hope that helps.

sounds like you have downloaded the unlock key and not the actual game, what game is it

Episodes? so does that mean I have to download the season pass then?

aah! ok I think I get this now. I've just been back on PSNetwork looking at the download details. Because I jumped the gun and went straight for Episode 1, I had to download the trial version first which is pretty queer. But it's downloading the trial now and it's taking a lot longer than it did to download the 2188KB. Hope it does it properly now then. Again thanks you very much for you're advice.

I think with most episodic games, the Trial acts as the client whereas purchasing the episode, as you've found, is just the unlock key.

It should've given you both in the PSN Store's Download Queue though, so you may have downloaded the key without hitting 'Download All.'

Hopefully you've got it all sorted now though
