How do i upgrade HDD??!

Ok im getting a new HDD as mine is full, duno what size yet.

But what I was thinking, how do i get the data across? its easy enough (but time consuming) just to copy everything across but what about the hidden things like update data?

Re: How do i upgrade HDD??!

you can back up all your data (games, music so on) using the ps3 back up utility in the system menu and things like firmware and users will stay there as they are saved in a different place

Re: How do i upgrade HDD??!

To copy the data across, you will need to use external mediums such as a pen drive, or external HDD (etc).

There is a full backup option in the PS3 system settings, that can be used to create an image of the drive contents.

Also, if you copy to external mediums, you can copy: Music, Pictures, Videos, Game Saves.

You CANNOT copy downloaded games, or data from the Game Data Utility.
