I Sacrifice Thee...

I am sick to death of developers taking cool stuff out of A rated games for the sake of a few graphical enhancements. The sequels this year became such a bore to play; I ended up playing with Lego (I'm 25)

Saints Row 2 was fantastic fun with all the extras; but Saints Row 3 had nothing but a floppy ***** and a purple city with all the extras taken out. Uncharted 2 was just amazing; but Uncharted 3 was basically bumped up graphics with a naff story you couldn't follow. So are these graphical extras in the sequels really necessary to forsake the cool elements found in the previous games. Maybe I'm just expecting too much from a game and that devs can't produce an epic game due to the current consoles; but none the less If the enhancements are barely visible within the game, surely it's best just to leave them out and just keep the cool elements from the previous installment.

GTA IV had nothing but a realistic city; so the only thing to do now is to add stuff in, otherwise we'll be left with floating polygons in the shape of a stick man. :smileyhappy:

Re: I Sacrifice Thee...

Wow - you give some fantastic examples :smileyindifferent:

The only thing I know that's been sacrificed because of the graphics is the player count in BF3 multiplayer games.

Re: I Sacrifice Thee...

I see your point, but to be honest I loved Uncharted 3 and im currently loving Saints Row 3, both are better than their No 2 counterparts in my opinion.
