I'm sorry to be rude but you can look everything you want on Gamespot/IGN or any site, use google, you'll get your answer quicker than on here, and if i'm not mistaken you could probably find all the anwers somewhere in this forum although there's a lot of crap to wade through.

Homo's kinda right I'm afraid.

There's so many variables and things to know about each console that I doubt anyone could go through them fully, much less objectively.

If you have any more specific questions to help you make a choice though, I'm sure a lot of people will be willing to help out.

For some reason that escapes me (this being a PS3 forum and all), it seems like most of the time most of the people on this forum do nothing but complain about the PS3, so coming here isn't the best idea if you want to settle your nerves. You'll only have them heightened with all the doom and gloom posts.

Why would you want to 'convert'? Its not a religion its only a games console. Forget the hardware for a second and go check out the games on all the platforms even the Nintendo Wii you will see all the games are pretty good and all offer different variety of gameplay. Also you will definently get a biased answer from some on a 'PS3' forum...

Well, how about a few links to some updated statistics for the Ps3 aswell and a few games you people feel could show him the Ps3 is better than the Ninty Wii.

You are comparing 2 machines that are not really compareable. Ninty are aiming at innovation and a new way of gaming. Sony are aiming for high end next gen visuals with a new pad similar to the Wii. Both are very different in pricing and both have different games especially exclusives.

just do some research on the games, and see which console has the better, and base your decision on that
