It's not and muggins here has restarted atleast 7 times now. I'm not the only one either. SCEE either need to test better or to hire testers that know what they are doing. You shouldn't have to constantly turn the console off and on to activate something.

just want people to know..... us beta testers dont test firmware and such not that im saying your saying we do but yeah anyway going into home and back out made it work for me

Re: ITV and 4OD Players Gone!

It's not so much about testing, the flashing of the firmware causes your PS3 to lose it's 'region' settings - just can take a while for those to repopulate and give you back your freebie apps.

Re: ITV and 4OD Players Gone!

Okay so I did everything over and over to attempt to get the icons on my slim. Yet only when I reset the display settings (of all things) did the folder/icons suddenly appear.

I don't think the two actions are related but it is very coincidental that they should appear after that action.

Re: ITV and 4OD Players Gone!

It took me a while to get the 'My Channels' icon to appear on the XMB too.  After trying some of the more commonly suggested advice (such as starting up PlayStation Home, the PlayStation Store and Vidzone) to no avail, it finally appeared after I'd accessed the PlayStation Store under the 'Video' section of the XMB.

Re: ITV and 4OD Players Gone!

Just done my system update and same issue.

loaded up Vidzone, let it play for about half a song, and there's my icon on the XMB.

Those icons for downloading the players were a bit of a smack in the face though! :smileyvery-happy:

Re: ITV and 4OD Players Gone!

You know what I did to make them appear? Nothing.

The day I updated, only iPlayer was there. Then the next day, LoveFilm appeared. The day after that, they all appeared. Yay!

I am a genius.
