Re: If you had paid GAME for ME3/SSX etc...

Havnt pre paid, but prototype blackwatch edition and max Payne 3 collectors edition are only supplied by GAME, that's the only reason I'm buying from them, if the same happens with prototype blackwatch edition like ME3 one then they can easily relocate them to shopto, play and amazon, it's the max payne one I'm concerned about, you can. Only pre order up to 2nd April I think.

I thought the in-store credit thing was more of an apologetic gesture from them rather than your money back? I've had my ME3 preorder with them for months and they haven't taken a penny from me so I can easily just cancel it and go elsewhere. Is this not the case for everyone?

Sometimes people pre-order instore with a £5 or £10 deposit. Personally, I preorder online and never pay a deposit. In any case, Game is breaking there part of the agreement between themselves and the consumer, so you are within your right to have your money back as payment to your bank or credit card(Which is always worth doing for pre-orders as even more rights) as they have broken there contract with you. It's not your fault Game are in dire straights and having financial problems.

IT'S YOUR MONEY!!!

Ah, I don't live near any stores which is why I buy online so I didn't pay a deposit.

They just sent me an email confirming that they cannot send me my Mass Effect preorder and that no money will be taken from my account. They've given me the £5 voucher as an apology and mine is for the website, not in-store (probably because that's where I made my preorder.)

Re: If you had paid GAME for ME3/SSX etc...

I would hazard a guess the main reason why EA pulled the plug would be down to credit risk. Judging my Games financial results which are shocking Game would either buy through a distributor or direct from EA and it looks like EA are not willing to take the risk of not getting paid if they go t*ts up, and rightly so seen as we are probably talking about millions of £ here.

Re: If you had paid GAME for ME3/SSX etc...

Looks like I'll be popping into GAME tomorrow to sort out this refund. Put a pre-order on Amazon now for the N7 edition.

Seems GAME are backed into a corner now, shame really.

If they do go under, I'm going to miss trade ins :smileysad: It's pretty handy.

Re: If you had paid GAME for ME3/SSX etc...

Just to confirm, as has once been said. You get a FULL refund through whichever way you paid i.e. Cash/Card and a goodwill £5 on your reward card. And as for the massive tool/tools who leaked company emails :Shame:

blockbuster and hmv do trade ins. I think you can trade in at argos but not sure if all stores or not.

Anyone know where to find out which stores are going to be closing? (well eventually will be all probably but I mean first)

Tell me about it! I'm really upset about this whole situation too (had myself an N7 ordered :smileysad: ) but just whose side are they on, releasing the info before the company had chance to put any sort of statement out there? As a result the share price plummeted maybe moreso than it would have done and customer confidence was damaged perhaps irrevocably in the ensuing confusion. Thanks guys, real clever!
