Re: Impulse buying

Do it alot, but it's only game-related stuff these days. Managed to stop impulse-buying blurays & cd's as to not kill my wallet completely :/

Re: Impulse buying

Yeah do it all the time, went to the car boot today and got Bioshock 2 and Kane & Lynch 2 for a fiver each. I've no intention of playing either for a while I havent even played the first Bioshock yet. Also got a few games on the go to finish first before I start either of them just an impulse bargain buy !

Re: Impulse buying

Never impulse buy games, have game rental service,

Will Impulse buy gadets and older Boys toys that would be an adult hobby if I did not have a PS3 allready.

Remote controll adult toys. (yes they are just adult versions = more expensive versions.)

BB guns.

Little bits of electronics that just upgrade what i allready have. new USB2 hub 7 ports instead of 4, better USB 2 HDD caddy. new RF headset. new USB 8GB memory stick upgrade from 2GB.

I impulse buy all the time. Brought the first Devil may cry on impulse and Metal gear solid, Uncharted, god of war, Darksiders all i saw on the shelf and went hmm so i brought them lol.

Now i tend to pre order but still have the odd bout of impulse shopping $300 later my wallet is crying :smileytongue: (Games are about $80 - $100 here in australia)

Re: Impulse buying

I do it a LOT on Steam (PC) because they often price the games at that impulse price (A couple of pounds for a full game, normally fully priced game). I have like 240 games on steam and the ones I have completed are probably in the minority on my list.

I am a terrible impulse buyer, i'll do it when there aren't sales too, but it most prevalent when I am given the illusion that I am saving money by buying this certain discounting thing, but really, I wouldn't have bought it anyway, so I'm not saving anything.

Re: Impulse buying

I haven't made an impulse purchase gaming-wise in ages, as I tend to know that I'm going to purchase a game well in advance of it's release.

I have a bit of a problem with clothes, shoes and trainers though at the moment. I lie in bed, go online and that's it.

Fatal.

Re: Impulse buying

i used to impulse buy a lot when i had steam, when they have offers and worst thing is my laptop could barely play some the games i got, even on the lowest settings and lowest res. Just bought them to see how they performed on my laptop, then never touch them again. I do buy loads of games on psn when they have sales on. Even though probably not going to play most of them.

Re: Impulse buying

No I don't.

Going for the top AAA games that appeal to me or are sequels, or just what you expect to be good like Mass Effect 3 and SSX to name a few recent ones can lead to being disappointments. So I'm not going to go for games of less then average qualities, or ones I know nothing about only to regret it even more.

This year so far, and looking at the reminder of it is probably the worst I've ever know. I think I need a new hobby while I wait for one of the Christmas rushes to get delayed into next year :smileyindifferent: :xCry:
