Re: Is Game Shop Closing In Your Area

Game in Burton on Trent closed their doors yesterday Gamestation around the corner are still open for now as said before the stores with the highest business rental rates seem to be getting the chop.

The old Woolworths next to Game was empty for two years because of high business rates it's madness the local rates where i am shops shutting down all over to be replaced with another food outlet great if all you buy is Greggs, Subway, pizza, cakes, sweets, sandwiches, burgers and chicken.

Local to me is probably Crawley, both stores there (each within a stones throw) are shutting down.

Yeah it seemed really stupid having 2 stores,no womder they couldn't pay the rent!.I hope 1 of those stores isn't gamestation? That would be really disappointing as the staff in there are much more aproachable than game's staff.

Re: Is Game Shop Closing In Your Area

Liverpool City Centre has lost both GAME stores but still has Both GameStation's left.

Bootle Lost GAME But still has GameStation left.

Am assuming Comet in Aintree will loose the Game store inside.

Every single GAME and Gamestation around Newcastle and Sunderland seems to have closed that I know of. Looks like I may never step foot in a GAME or Gamestation ever again. :smileysad:

Both were definitely my favourite retail stores by far, it's such a shame to see them go.
Although, bring on Grainger Games, who have plenty of stores all over the Northeast, and are equally as good (a lot cheaper at least). :smileyhappy:

Strangely, the GAME and Gamestation in Worthing, which are only two mins walk from each other seem to be staying open

Worthing's a fairly small town centre too
