Just Cause 2 is possibly one of my favourite videogames of all time but I've been wondering if I'm missing out on anything because I don't know the storyline, should I get the first game for Xbox 360 (coz I don't have PS2) or isn't it worth it?

I never played the first game either, but Just Cause 2 is amazing. I wonder if they could do an HD remake of it for us ? :-)

Yep one of the few games were getting the Platinum tropy was done buy normal game play. 

Not requiring Specific stupid tasks which have no reason at all to be in the game.

Also one of the few games with the FIRMWARE based VIDEO recorder enabled.

Same as THE_FORCE never played Just Cause 1, but Just Cause 2 is brilliant.

The original Just Cause on the Ps2 was a great game in its day but its aged badly looks very rough round the edges. 

I am not sure if it may have made it to the 360 or if its an original Xbox classic if there is a 360 version i would say go for it but if its the older Xbox/Ps2 your interested in it'll disappoint after Just Cause 2.

I played the original it was brilliant. Played it on PS2 (grapics were pretty poor but gameplay was amazing) the grapple hook back then was a grapple gun. It was a great gadget that let you paraglide by hooking onto people's cars. I also played it on PC and the Xbox 360 version (the only then 'next gen' console to get the game) which were a vast improvement on the graphics side of things. Skydiving, parachuting, it was amazing! Take a look on youtube!

Just Cause 2 (I got the limited edition version when I had it preordered and recieved it a day early when it originally came out) is a massive improvement over the first! Brilliantly fun missions, a grapple hook overhaul that lets you tether together items (you might  have seen people attaching people to cars and lamposts etc.) and is attached to your arm allowing you to use guns whilst using the grapple. You can zip onto any vehicle in the game and open your parachute at any time. You can zip onto walls and bridges, virtually anything. The graphics are some of the best I've seen on PS3, absolutely fantastic! It is one of my favourite games of all time. In short, buy it! Along with all the dlc on offer! I did and it's brilliant!

Need I ask why you wouldn't want the following?

-A hovercraft with cannons and machine guns which goes over land and water.

-An air propulsion gun (literally blow people away)

-A monster truck which floats on water (when you run out of momentum you float and become stuck)

-Parachute thrusters which give you a boost when you start slowing down?

-Massive-explosions-causing rocket launchers! One has lock on, another fires 4 missiles at once (like the one out of Commando (the Rambo-like film with Arnie in) and another which fires a cluster which lights up the sky like actual fireworks!

-An extra jet,  among other things

The Tuk Tuk Boom Boom, Chevalier Ice Breaker and Chaos Parachute are all free downloads!

Firstplay episode 1 offered a firestorm parachute (parachute with flame design) for free but the episode itself costs 99p and has a Just Cause 2 review along with other things.

The only downside for me personally, is that there is no online free roam for me to mess around with my friends on. Hopefully a future Just Cause 3 can rectify that!  

EDIT - Aaah it appears you already have Just Cause 2! Oh well just take my word for it - JC1 was an amazingly brilliant game that you will really enjoy! If anyone needs to explain JC2 to anyone just use my post!  

Oh and just to clarify, JC1 is available on PS2, Xbox, PC and Xbox 360!

I still have it for the 360,its pretty good,pretty large play area,some great vehicles

I loved taking a plane right to the limit of the skies and diving out of it,watching my plane go down while that eerie silence is all around you(well soft music)..you can't get bored of that

funnily enough i could never get into JC2,although i have promised myself to try it again at some point

The xbox360 original was in HD & the gfx were exellent from what i remember.

I enjoyed it at the time - Not played the 2nd one yet - Will have to check it out.
