as long as it is the case expanding and contracting il be happy , whoever posted that sarky comment on mw3 saying the games the same on both platforms obviously hasn't played it on xbox, yes their both called mw3 but the ps3s version multiplayer is broke compared to xbox. go compare them then say your ps3 version is equal , better , or superior because you couldnt.

My launch 60gb got YLOD about 3 months ago and couldn't be revived. But it became an organ donor a couple of days ago to revive a 40gb I picked up cheap with a dead Blu-Ray drive.

Me too. Except I didn't get screwed around - did a straight swap for number five with a slim. Must say CP was a bit of a lifesaver. although no lives were saved. Just a figure of speech.

I haven't played any MW3 so your right, I can't say one of them is better. But after seeing some people moaning about lag from both consoles, I conclude that yes, MW3 and MW3 are in fact the same as each other. I like the way I'm made out to be some kind of fanboy after one comment 

My PS3 is on a shelf above the TV, on a stand. I put a small piece of plastic at each corner of the stand to raise it up a bit, so that air can get to the HDD. It actually collects a lot of dust, which I suppose is a good thing as it means its not going into the PS3.

i can assure you their was no lag on the xbox as their was on the ps3, since you have not played either i find it odd someone commenting on something they have never played, the ps3 version has problems at the moment i can only hope they fix it so we can enjoy the online part of the game please feel free to go out and purchase a copy to see what ps3 players are complaing about.

My PS3 Slim, which supposedly has a much lower risk of the YLOD, has come up with the YLOD for no apparent reason whatsoever.

for all the talk of ventalation and maintenence, i think a lot of it is down to pure luck. I treat mine really badly compared to some of the people who post here, i dont do any special dusting apart from a quick wipe now and again, i smoke around it, i dont even shut it off properly half the time.

Of all my years with consoles the only one ive ever had any real problems with was the ps1, i got through 3 of them, although my third one still works 13 years on lol.

My mate has an xbox and he has experienced lag, but other people I know with either console haven't. Depends on individual circumstances. I'm just saying that if you want an xbox, go and buy one. In a thread asking 'is your fat PS3 still working', I don't see why there is any need to mention MW3 or xbox.

Does anyone else vaccuum their old fatty?

I do it every month or so, and when it is off I cover the top vents to try and stop dust getting in and keep the heat in the console a bit longer. Hey, its worked so far.
