Just read this article and im abit shocked and in a little disbelief. If the same happends here in the UK i could be entitled to over £200 refund. I was one of the angry ones after loosing this feature and wanted something done about it but even i think this may be a little steep. What do you think?

I'd much rather Sony reduce the cost of the unit and increase sales than refund money to all current owners disregarding whether they used the feature or not.
If only there was a way to confirm somebody actually used it, I imagine the vast majority of moaners are just looking for a quick buck. Pikeys.

Where do we sign up? Is there a petition going somewhere? If not there should be. It doesn't state which law firm will be handling the Europe suit and most likely they will get a percentage of every PS3 owners refund.
As a launch owner, I'm very happy with this news. However it may come back to bite us in the *****, as Sony have only just started to make a small profit on the PS3 and if they have to give 50% back to all PS3 owners, that's going to seriously dent their budget.
Which could mean, less exclusives, higher priced accessories and PSN downloads, less updates, less money spent on R&D (delay on PS4) and possibly cancelling the FREE PSN and having premium as the only option, to recoup the losses made on refunds.
