Many times now I have seen a game trailer or known of a game to be released and I have just thought to myself "it's not my type of game" and not thought about the game ever again. I try to only purchase games with multiplayer aswell as that is where I get more fun from.
Lately though I don't think I have been giving games chances, a few games I have really enjoyed single player, which I used to never touch back then, Battlefield 3, Max Payne 3 and DiRT Showdown are some of my recent ones.
Thanks to PS+ I have tried another "not my type of game", inFamous 2 and I am only just past the opening bit and WOW what an awesome game, I am now kicking myself for not trying it before. I also downloaded Darksiders which is another game I have always thought I wouldn't like and I am starting to think I may actually like it
The lack of demos kind of shortens my range of games also as if I assume it isn't my type I won't even consider buying it unless there was a demo.
What games have you played that you thought you wouldn't really like but it ended up being awesomer than a bacon sandwich covered in brown sauce?

I was on the fence for ages regarding Borderlands saw plenty of posts praising the game. Finally purchased the GOTY version during the outage last year couldn't put it down Borderlands 2 is a day one.
Skyrim is another one i am not really an RPG fan had it has a christmas gift one of my all time favourites this generation. PS+ re-launch is amazing there will be games i am uncertain about definitely getting a look.

I wasn't keen on the demo of mass effect 2, but bought it when I saw it cheap and it's one of my favourite games.
Played the demo when it was originally on the Store and thought it was a bit "meh". Then I bought it recently and loved every minute of it.
Then I bought ME3 thinking "WOW THIS IS GONNA BE SO EPIC", and then it really wasn't.

The Witcher 2.
I love a good RPG and I had read so many things about this one that I wasnt really sure if it was for me but thankfully I was wrong. I couldnt stop playing the game from start to finish, loved it.
Tonight I should hopefully get a chance to sit down and play some of the free PS+ games I got and one or two of them I have always been borderline with.

Journey: I slated this game when it was first release all over these forums, but in a matter of days it grew on me like a flower. Usually I'm right with the games I pick, but there was something about this game where I failed to make the ultimate decision of liking it. I think what threw me off, was that it was so different to Flower. So yeah another great game I got wrong, as it turned out to be very thought provoking. I thought it reminded me of the Journey you sort of take, straight after you die, where the mountain would symbolise heaven. lol
The opposite is said for Assassin's Creed Revelations. I had high hopes for this game; having played the previous games, but ACR is so boring. I can't even complete it cos of sheer boredom which is contained within the title. You have to walk to a mission and then walk whilst on a mission and then walk after a mission to your next mission. so boring. I was even bored writing about it, that's how rubbish this game is.
