So I can go out and buy a nice new up to date 3DTV for a similar price. Or I can buy a little black box the size of a packet of cigarettes for the same price and keep my 5 year old 720p Sammy?
I'm going to have to think about this one..
Good thing some ppl might have a perfect working plasma screen from 4-5years back or an very very expensive projector and just want 3D, then??
Correct my mate has got the 50" pioneer kuro plasma which is regarded as one of the best tv you can get (not available anymore) for image qaulity. He wants 3d but doesnt want to give up his top notch screen so this is potentially the perfect solution for him.
Indeed - I have no intentions of chopping in my KRP-600M or LX-608D Kuros for an inferior 2D image. Something like this could be a nice compromise - if it was legit !

Yeah for Kuro owners etc it could be a decent bit of kit.
I'm not 100% convinced by their website after having a brief look and I'm not sure how exactly this box is able to upconvert a 50/60Hz set to display 3D at 120Hz, or does it not do that at all? If yes, then how is that possible?
If it's doing all this processing latency may be a potential issue too, I'd approach this bit of kit with real caution and at the very least would require a trial before buying, not that I intend to.

I hate 3D. Mainly because of those annoying Blues Brothers glasses you have to wear.
When I wear them, I feel like I should put on a Fedora and sing "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love".

Wouldn't it be a flickering mess, if you use signal processing to convert the signal, and display 3D on a 60Hz screen? If it's anything like the way active shutter works on a new 3D screen, then you'll have a 30Hz refresh for each eye, who wants that?
It makes more sense with the dual projector set-up, that they mention in the text.
I have a 4 year old Plasma (not a Kuro though, sadly) Personally, I'd rather save up the extra money, and get a proper 3D screen, that should have better technical specs.

I was on about everyday non rich people like myself who haven't an expensive/rare TV. If we could afford something like that little black box then we might as well go out and buy an entry level 3DTV which puts the price of the box into perspective.
I've had mine 4 maybe 5 years now and I'm about ready to upgrade but I can't afford to and my current TV does its purpose of gaming and watching the odd movie. I'm sure I'm not alone here in this very same situation.
