Losing the 'gaming' mojo

Hey Folks,

Recently I've found myself getting quite distinterested in the games that I have on my PS3. I put them in, play them for 10 minutes, get bored and put them away. Rinse and repeat for a whole hour, and this is whilst I'm on my laptop.

I can't seem to find any games worth playing, I have a huge backlog to catch up on, but I don't have the energy to play them. Only in the last few days have I popped Fallout 3, New Vegas, LA Noire, Skyrim and Batman Arkham Asylum into the tray, but I fire them up and just can't be bothered to play them!

Knowing I'm in the middle of exams, I would have thought I would of enjoyed the gaming time afterwards, but nope, can't seem to play anything!

Anyone else had or have this 'problem' :smileytongue: Just can't seem to play one game for more than an hour! (Or find anything to play at all)!

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

Yep...

I had that problem lol look at my thread from 2009!!

http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-3-Games/Lost-the-love-for-gaming/m-p/7046287#M104...

I've had it again too recently, split up from my x after 5 years. When we together I used to enjoy every spare minute I got for gaming but now I just look at my PS3 and Vita...

It's like..they are both there...but I can play them when I want now....I dunno.....my routines gone now.

Got 166 downloaded games from PSN (alot from +) and about 20 on my shelf.....and I just can't be bothered playing!

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

I've been like that for awhile now. There was a time where I would check the latest games coming out, but for the majority of this year and last I have been totally disinterested in anything games wise. I am finding games these days very stale and they don't hold my interest for long.

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

I'm getting the same as everybody else. I'm finding that 90% of games released are all virtually the same idea or concept. There is nothing coming out that makes me think "Hmm, got to get that."

I bought Ghost Recon today thinking that the online would be something different but it's infested with KDR whores who don't go for the objective.

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

I was in a bit of a blip, but just got dragons dogma (despite what i had heard about it) and it had just relit the fire. It is amazing, it has problems but they are so easy to over look cos you can just suspend reality for a moment and really enjoy urself.

Its just a matter of finding something that you like, cos you can not expect to like everything that comes out, given that most of it is remakes or sequels atm :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

I've had this to. Would feel like a game but then i would jusst sit there staring at my games for a good 40 minutes then just not play anything. This happened for a good month and a half. Felt like i wanted to play say dead space but when i had the game in my hands i couldn't of bothered with it.

I know what you mean! Before I lost interest I was playing Batman Arkham City, as soon as I finished it I didn't know what to play and it just went from there! I'd love to get back into Fallout as I neverplayed through all the DLC's, but I get to the intro and just can't be bothered!

Nice replies guys, keep them coming!

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

it would be good if we could have a decent online game mw3 sucks bf3 is nowhere near as much fun as bf2 and the games sony and their developers are spewing out seem poor, starhawk a prime example, hopefully something thats good will show up soon but all the modern games seem robbed of content for dlc. im looking forward to resi evil 6 and borderlands two. its time to go out and enjoy the beautiful sunshine

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

The only game that has recently caught up attention actually is Max Payne. Contemplating whether or not to buy it though.
